HERstory
Kappa Alpha Sigma Rho was founded on December 08, 2023, by a diverse group of visionary women who refused to stay silent in a world that often teaches women to shrink themselves. Each founder came from different walks of life, students, mothers, activists, survivors, but shared a common mission: to create a space where healing, sisterhood, and service could thrive in harmony. They poured into each other, healing wounds, challenging insecurities, and building trust through shared experiences. From these raw and radiant moments, the foundation of KASR was born.
Founder Black King chose the letters Kappa (K) for Kardia, the heart that leads with compassion, Alpha (A) for Axiopistos, a reminder that each woman is worthy, Sigma (S) for Symmetria, the balance of mind, body, and soul, and Rho (R) for Rhema, the voice of truth and power. KASR is not just a sorority, it is a movement. A revolution of self-love and service, rooted in the belief that healing ourselves is the first to heal the world.

Hello there! My name is Mrs. King, and I am a proud member of Kappa Alpha Sigma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. As a Criminal Justice major, I am dedicated to serving my community and making a positive impact in the lives of those around me. Being the founder of this sorority has provided me with endless opportunities to grow personally and professionally and has allowed me to form lifelong friendships with amazing women.

As an English and Creative Writer major, I have personally benefited from the mentorship and support of our members.
