Self-Healing, Sisterhood, and Service
Kappa Alpha Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc. Was founded on December 08, 2023, by a diverse group of visionary women who refused to stay silent in a world that often teaches women to shrink themselves. Each founder came from different walks of life, students, mothers, activists, survivors, but shared a common mission, to create a space where healing, sisterhood, and service could thrive in harmony. They poured into each other, healing wounds, challenging insecurities, and building trust through shared experiences. From these raw and radiant moments, the foundation of KASR was born.

Sherian Black King
Founder/Basileus
I'm an accomplished scholar, visionary leader, and dedicated servant to my community. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, graduating with an exceptional 3.9 GPA while earning recognition on the Dean’s List for my academic excellence. My achievements also include obtaining the prestigious Order of Omega honor, reflecting my leadership and commitment to fraternal values, and I proudly stand as a respected member of the Divine Nine (D9). With my passion for healing, empowerment, and service, I also established Kappa Alpha Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc. on December 8, 2023, as a non-collegiate organization founded on the three core principles of Self Healing, Sisterhood, and Service. My mission was to create a transformative space where women from all walks of life could unite, heal, grow, and serve their communities while building lifelong bonds of sisterhood. Despite facing challenges and disappointments, I remained steadfast, drawing strength from my sisters and unwavering faith to bring my vision to fruition. I commitment to my organization extends far beyond its founding. I'm devoted to empowering my sisters, supporting their dreams, celebrating their achievements, and standing as a pillar of comfort during adversity. Through empathy, courage, and understanding, I has cultivated an enduring sisterhood rooted in love, resilience, and service. My legacy is one of determination, unity, and purpose, creating not just an organization, but a movement that inspires healing, fosters empowerment, and leaves a lasting impact on generations to come.

Ashlee Morrswell
Founder/Anti-Grammeteus
My name is Ashlee Morrswell, and I am one of the proud founders of Kappa Alpha Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc.. I currently serve as the National Secretary and am honored to be a part of such a powerful and inspiring sisterhood.
We created KASR as a safe and uplifting space for women who believe in self-love, service, growth, and genuine sisterhood. Our organization was built on the idea that women deserve a community where they can be supported, empowered, celebrated, and encouraged to become the best version of themselves while also making a positive impact in the communities around them.
At KASR, we believe sisterhood is more than just a title, it is a lifelong bond built through love, leadership, respect, and unity. Whether through community service, mentorship, fellowship, or personal development, we strive to create meaningful connections that truly feel like family.
We are excited to share our vision with you and hope that you will consider becoming a part of our growing sisterhood. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about who we are, and we look forward to welcoming future women of excellence into KASR.
